What do different HGV licences denote?

Having the right licence for the vehicle you need to drive is also the most important thing in every respect. Some of the licence types that denote different aspects are:

  • Category C1 - Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) which weighs between 3,500kg to 7,500kg, with trailers that generally weigh up to 750kg.
  • Category C - This licence allows you to drive the vehicles that are rigid and weigh over 7.5 tonnes additionally with trailers weighing up to 750kg.
  • Category C+E - This licence allows you to drive articulated vehicles which weigh over 7.5 tonnes with trailers weighing more than 750kg.

All these licence types need appropriate HGV driver Training to have safer driving experiences.
